Freelancer Agreement

This agreement governs your participation as a content creator on Buildible. By creating a creator account, you agree to the following terms.

1. Eligibility

To become a creator on Buildible, you must:

• Have a registered account in good standing
• Be at least 18 years old (or have parental consent)
• Own or have the rights to all content you upload

2. Content Requirements

All builds and content uploaded must:

• Be your original work or properly licensed for resale
• Not contain copyrighted material from Mojang/Microsoft beyond standard Minecraft assets
• Not contain malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Include accurate descriptions and preview images
• Be appropriately categorized and tagged

3. Revenue Share & Fee Breakdown

Stripe deductions happen before Buildible's platform fee is calculated, all set by Stripe and outside Buildible's control:

• Stripe processing fee — typically 1.5% + $0.20 for UK domestic cards, higher for international or alternative payment methods. See stripe.com/gb/pricing.
• Foreign-exchange margin — the Platform's Stripe account settles in a currency that may differ from USD (e.g. GBP). When that happens, Stripe converts at its published rate, which carries a small FX margin built in.

Worked example (from a real $5.00 sale on the platform, settled to a GBP merchant account):

• Buyer pays: $5.00
• Stripe processing + FX conversion (combined): −$0.48
• Net received by Buildible: $4.52
• Platform fee (5% Verified, applied to net): −$0.23
• You earn: $4.29

The exact split for each of your sales is shown line-by-line in your Sales and Earnings dashboards (Gross / Stripe / Platform / You earn). When you set a price you are effectively setting the buyer-facing amount, so factor Stripe's deductions into your pricing — especially for small-ticket items, where Stripe's flat $0.20 fee is proportionally larger.

4. Payouts

• Minimum payout threshold: $5.00
• Payouts are processed upon request and subject to admin approval
• You must provide valid payment information for payout processing
• Income tax on your earnings is your personal responsibility — Buildible does not withhold or report on your behalf

5. Pricing

• You set the price for your builds
• Free builds ($0.00) are allowed and encouraged
• Prices must be in USD ($) — this is the buyer-facing price
• You may create discount codes for your own builds
• You may create bundles of multiple builds at a set price

6. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of your original content. By uploading to Buildible, you grant us a non-exclusive license to:

• Display your builds on the marketplace
• Use preview images for promotional purposes
• Distribute your builds to verified purchasers

7. DMCA and Copyright

We respect intellectual property rights and will respond to valid DMCA takedown requests. If your content is found to infringe on another party's rights:

• The build will be removed from the marketplace
• You will be notified of the takedown and reason
• Repeated violations may result in account termination

8. Refunds

When a refund is issued for one of your builds, the corresponding creator earnings will be deducted from your available balance. See our Refund Policy for details.

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your creator account if you:

• Violate these terms or the general Terms of Service
• Repeatedly upload infringing content
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Receive excessive legitimate complaints

Upon termination, pending payouts may be withheld pending review.

10. Changes to Agreement

We may update this agreement from time to time. Creators will be notified of significant changes via platform notifications.
