Freelancer Agreement

This agreement governs your participation as a content creator on Buildible. By creating a creator account, you agree to the following terms.

1. Eligibility

To become a creator on Buildible, you must:

• Have a registered account in good standing
• Be at least 18 years old (or have parental consent)
• Own or have the rights to all content you upload

2. Content Requirements

All builds and content uploaded must:

• Be your original work or properly licensed for resale
• Not contain copyrighted material from Mojang/Microsoft beyond standard Minecraft assets
• Not contain malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Include accurate descriptions and preview images
• Be appropriately categorized and tagged

3. Revenue Share & Fee Breakdown

The buyer-side service fee shown at checkout covers two things, both outside Buildible's control once Stripe processes the payment:

• Buildible's platform fee — 5% (verified) or 8% (standard) of your listing price.
• Stripe processing & FX buffer — covers Stripe's transaction fee (typically ~2.9% + $0.30 plus FX margin when the Platform's Stripe account settles in a currency other than USD, e.g. GBP). See stripe.com/gb/pricing.

Worked example (Verified Freelancer, $10.00 listing, settled to a GBP merchant account):

• Listing price you set: $10.00
• Buyer-side service fee at checkout: +$1.20
• Buyer pays: $11.20
• Stripe processing + FX conversion: ~−$0.62
• Buildible platform fee: ~−$0.50
• You earn: $10.00 (100% of your listing price)

The exact split for each of your sales is shown line-by-line in your Sales and Earnings dashboards (Gross / Stripe / Platform / You earned). The buyer-side service fee is proportionally larger on small-ticket items because Stripe's fixed transaction cost is amortised across the listing price — factor that in when pricing low-cost builds, since buyers see the total at checkout.

4. Payouts

• Minimum payout threshold: $5.00
• Payouts are processed upon request and subject to admin approval
• You must provide valid payment information for payout processing
• Income tax on your earnings is your personal responsibility — Buildible does not withhold or report on your behalf

5. Pricing

• You set the listing price for your builds — this is what you receive
• Free builds ($0.00) are allowed and encouraged
• Prices must be in USD ($). The buyer pays your listing price plus a service fee (see Section 3)
• You may create discount codes for your own builds
• You may create bundles of multiple builds at a set price

6. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of your original content. By uploading to Buildible, you grant us a non-exclusive license to:

• Display your builds on the marketplace
• Use preview images for promotional purposes
• Distribute your builds to verified purchasers

7. DMCA and Copyright

We respect intellectual property rights and will respond to valid DMCA takedown requests. If your content is found to infringe on another party's rights:

• The build will be removed from the marketplace
• You will be notified of the takedown and reason
• Repeated violations may result in account termination

8. Refunds

When a refund is issued for one of your builds, the corresponding creator earnings will be deducted from your available balance. See our Refund Policy for details.

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your creator account if you:

• Violate these terms or the general Terms of Service
• Repeatedly upload infringing content
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Receive excessive legitimate complaints

Upon termination, pending payouts may be withheld pending review.

10. Changes to Agreement

We may update this agreement from time to time. Creators will be notified of significant changes via platform notifications.
